The Raising Peace online peace festival returned to celebrate the International Day of Peace for 2023.
For four days from 21-24 September we brought you a series of speakers and workshops discussing the ever more important topic of how we can contribute to a peaceful world.
We explored:
- Personal peace: How can you cultivate peace in your own life?
- Public peace: What can we do to create more peaceful communities?
- Political peace: Getting involved in shifting the political discource around peace and conflict
Our First Nations Stream this year focused on the coming Referendum on the Voice and the Uluru Statement as an instrument of peacemaking. We continued to explore the march to militarisation. But we also took time to celebrate the great work on peace being done from around the country.
