DESCRIPTION:  \nWollongong Against War and Nukes has been chosen for a two-week activist residency at Wollongong Art Gallery as part of the ‘Greetings from Wollongong’ exhibition! \nWe’ll be turning the space into an activist hub! DESCRIPTION:The Hunter Peace Group commemoration of the 80 th Anniversary will be held on \nSATURDAY 9 TH AUGUST 11AM – 2PMTIGHES HILL PEACE PARK OPPOSITE TIGHES HILL TAFE \nSpeakers are:Leigh Shears Secretary Hunter Workers – (Newcastle Trades Hall Council)Nick Deane from Marrickville Peace GroupThe Newcastle Peoples’ Chorus and Matthew and Cathy Clarke will entertain us. \nThe BBQ is booked and food will be available \nAustralia has not yet joined the United Nations Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons– the only international treaty to comprehensively outlaw the construction and use of nuclearweapons. Both local groups are urging our Government to implement the ALP 2018Conference Policy to sign the UN Treaty when the party gains office. We pray for action inthis term.
