In 2024 Raising Peace celebrated the International Day of Peace with discussions on peace activism, standing against AUKUS, faith and peace and more.
This year we also hosted the Australian segment of World Beyond War’s “#NoWar2024 Conference: Resisting the USA’s Military Empire.” This exciting event started in Australia in person and streamed from the Sydney Mechanics’ School of Arts on the morning of 21 September, with later sessions in Germany, Colombia and the USA.
Raising Peace’s Reverend Chris Walker spoke at the end of the #NoWar2024 event, beautifully summing up what we had learned. You can read an updated version of his address here.
