Guest Speaker: David Purnell OAM

David Purnell is a consultant and educator on conflict resolution & peace education. In 1998 he was awarded the medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for his peace work. An active Quaker for 50 years and has been Presiding Clerk of Australian Quakers and Clerk of Friends World Committee. He has also represented Quakers on the National Council of Churches and was part-time administrator of the United Nations Association of Australia.

David is member of the Quaker Peace and Legislation Committee which has a long term concern with regard to arms production in Australia.
