Permaculture for Peace and Refugees in War Zones

Permaculture is a wholistic approach and
can be an influence on creating community
and recovering from trauma.
For years Blue Mountains Permaculture
Institute has been teaching its course in
war-torn or recovering countries – as a
peace tool towards a culture of Peace. The
results from Viet Nam, Cambodia and more
recently Afghanistan (until this week) have
shown how it brings different ethnicities into
common goals and strategies that over-ride
traditional animosities.

This session will given an outline of how
permaculture works as a peace tool to
recreate Arts of Peace, and will involve
participants with key questions and also
some photos of impacts and outcomes.
