Hiroshima Commemoration – Hunter Peace Group

The Hunter Peace Group commemoration of the 80 th Anniversary will be held on

SATURDAY 9 TH AUGUST 11AM – 2PM
TIGHES HILL PEACE PARK OPPOSITE TIGHES HILL TAFE

Nick Deane from Marrickville Peace Group
The Newcastle Peoples’ Chorus and Matthew and Cathy Clarke will entertain us.

The BBQ is booked and food will be available

Australia has not yet joined the United Nations Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons
– the only international treaty to comprehensively outlaw the construction and use of nuclear
weapons. Both local groups are urging our Government to implement the ALP 2018
Conference Policy to sign the UN Treaty when the party gains office. We pray for action in
this term.
