Raising Peace returned in 2022 over the ANZAC weekend for a short series of conversations that explored alternatives to Australia’s increasing militarisation. The discussions encompassed First Nations experiences of violence, alternative conceptions of security and the use of Australia’s military and the need to strengthen our diplomacy.

In July we joined with Sydney University, MAPW, Conversation at the Crossroads, Sydney Peace Foundation and Affinity for a People’s Forum on the Ukraine War.

In September we once again marked the International Day of Peace with 10 events over 5 days, discussing new narratives for Peace, celebrating years of Australian peacekeeping, learning from First Nations and much more.

The recordings of all events are available for you to watch again below, with a link for each to details of the presenters and other information.

The Raising Peace Festival is run by volunteers.
We welcome any donations to support our work,
including running our events and managing the website.
